Student housing often feels bland and lifeless, often designed to maximise rent rather than lifestyle, whilst simultaneously neglecting native species and ecologies.
Growing up, there was always a romanticised image of “college life”. Vibrant, communal, and full of character. 622 Harris Street reimagines this ideal by dedicating each floor of the existing building to community-centric programs, crowned by three glass-brick towers for living spaces. The material choice evokes a sense of understated luxury, while the towers themselves glow like lanterns illuminated by the vitality of the community they overlook.
